Unfortunately, in America right now the vilification of the AR-15 is in full swing. From the Gun Control Lobby groups to our mainstream media, they’re all trying to shame and convince us that the AR-15 is nothing more than an evil killing machine. However, I see the AR-15 as my personal self-defense rifle that I happen to think is aesthetically beautiful. 

If I ever have kids, they’re going to grow up telling people their dad has an AR-15 over the fireplace. However, right now as a childless single male, I have ARs all over my house. Some of my ARs are placed strategically for self-defense, and others are set for their beauty. To some people, the AR-15 merely is metal and plastic and doesn’t have the same organic charm that a lot of older guns made from wood and metal have. The thing is, I’m part of the iPhone generation where we see beauty in plastic firearms the same way our parents and grandparents saw beauty in firearms made from metal and wood.

Guns like the AK47 have an iconic silhouette that is beautiful in its own right, but the beauty of the AR-15 is not in its profile but in the detail of its lines which give it a technically sophisticated look, and I love it. Contrary to what the media says, I know there are a ton of people who feel the same way I do, so we decided to create a tumbler and shirt design that let the beauty of the AR-15 speak for its self.
